I am in Australia. I am disappointed as well to see that "Stream blocked" in my geographic location.

Could someone please comment?

I was a pipline subscriber, and was enjoynig it with the player on my PC.

After seeing the message of pipeline discontinuence, I tried to see the live via CNN.com, but I could not see the live with the message "STREAM BLOCKED in your geographic location."

Why this kind of disappointing/frustrating experience I have to get through? Is this live video just broadcasted only in the U.S.? If so, when we can see the live video in our country, Japan.

Your advice would be much appreciated on this.

Best wishes.
Toshifumi

Despite my earlier reservations when CNN Pipeline was in its last days i quite like the new player, also that CNN International is still available for anyone who wants to see it.
Can i suggest a "live" broadcast of CNN on the player as it is broadast in the United States? I wish CNN well in their new venture and i will be tuning in often.

Dear sirs of CNN.

I had never in my wildest dreams expected to find CNN so blatantly casting a shadow over the pioneering legacy of Ted Turner.

Where Turners fingerprints were appearing you could always trust it was related to something that was latest technology, and always ahead of its time.

From being a happy paying subscriber of CNN Pipeline, I'm now asked to use a so called free service from the CNN.com website for my news videos.

From eager excitement bordering on those from my first Christmases I pointed my latest version of IE to the CNN.com video site.

Only to discover, like a saddend boy discovering that all his packages contained only socks and handmedowns, despite being wrapped in slick, and fancy paper.

How could you...?!

Granted, I'm situated in the country of Norway, running XP on a year-old Dell machine, but even that seems not enough to get this socalled new and exciting, free video-service up and running.

It simply do not work.

How could you..take away my daily dose of news from the wider world outside...how could you do that..? And almost look me straight into my eyes, via my email inbox and say its for my own good.
I never beleived my mom when she said that on those christmases past, and I surely wont, when the new brooms at CNN sweeps it across the net towards me now.

There is no live video apearing where it should.
The videos just dont load.

Oh, yeah, the Pipeline did'nt always load videos either, and was occationally prone to take down my entire system, but it was a little like ol'Ted, somewhat erratic, challenging, but always...ahead of its time. And reliably available at least when you learned to live with its quirks.

The new CNN Video service does not even qualify as erratic. It never works....!

I am happy with the new format. Just one thing, loose the HBO Commercials. They are extremely annoying.

I love the new format of the successor to Pipeline, and the CNN site.

Though, I would LOVE to see CNN International have it's own 24/7 streaming channel in the live video section. My current satellite provider doesn't offer CNN International (Dish Network) and I have requested them to add this channel to no avail. I too love the quality of the excellent reporting on CNN International, and considering the recent events in the world it is absolutely necessary to have a live international channel available.

For example, CNN/I broke the news about the BBC reporter being released yesterday approximately 15 minutes before CNN/US did. TJ Holmes broke into Glenn Beck's special on CNN/US and offered a 30 second blurb about the story 15 minutes after CNN/I initially reported the breaking news. 15 minutes may not seem like a long time, but it was long enough for me, being the avid CNN viewer that I am, to started looking around the dial for other news networks carrying this story stateside.

I want to "be the first to know" all day, not a couple of hours in the evening.

Thanks for reading.

CNN International is back live on the new site!

I don't know if its "back by popular demand" or it was all a misunderstanding and the intention was always to have it on the new site. It was not there for the launch yesterday. Thank you either way. I hope it stays.

Note that its only available, strangely, on the US edition of cnn.com, not the international edition.

Wow!

Just had to poke my head in and say for the record that my experience so far today on CNN.com's web page has been simply a joy!

I clicked the Live Feed tab and found only the channel I chose actually running 'live' whie the other 3 are static yet updated clickable images... great idea a long time coming!

Congratulations, CNN... you have given me cause to put my hanky away and give a happy sigh of relief. I'm going to love this new player, thank you :D

Oh, and did I mention it works seamlessly in my FireFox Browser too? :)

Why not simulcast both and give us a choice to pay for no commercials? I would pay more.
