there was an new orleans police officer shot today in the line of duty. she was 24yr. old. i have not seen one thing about this on cnn. i have seen car chases, stories about pets , mardi gras, and of course....politics; yet absolutly nothing about this story. i just happen to see it on the internet. why is this ? .is this not important news? please air something about this please,. i f this was california, ga., or new york, it would have been breaking news.

I absolutely agree with Tomon wasting energies in this manner, however, we must be humane obviously there are very serious mental issues in which many americans are afflicted. She is fortunate to afford treatment that numerous others have limited access or none.

i WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT AFTER CLOSELY FOLLOWING COURT TV AND WAITING FOR JURORS TO COME TO A DECISION ON GUILT OR INNOCENCE IT IMAZES ME HOW THEY VOTE AND HOW MANY TIMES GUILTY PEOPLE ARE FREED OR A HUNG JURY. I THINK JURORS SHOULD BE PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE WITH AN EDUCATION IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE. SO MANY CASES HAVE COMPLICATED FACTS THAT I DO NOT THINK ALOT OF LAY PEOPLE UNDERSTAND. I have been following the Mark Jenison trial and if I were on the jury I would have a hard time finding guilty. His former wife sounds a lot flacky. Why would she not go to her family, if she was really scared, she certainly went to everyone else she could find. I have been in this situation and I surely did not mention this to anyone but my attorney and then my parents.

I applaud the wise jury who just found Mark Jensen guilty of the intentional homicide of his wife, Julie Jensen. As I listened to both prosecution and defense attorneys, and their witnesses, and looked into the shifty-looking eyes and smug look on Mark Jensen's face, I became over- whelmed with the feeling that he was truly guilty. Thank you for a job well done.

Tru TV is sooo disappointing. For years, I loved and watched Court TV, loving every minute of trial coverage up to 5 p.m., even rushing home so I could watch. What is offered now is loud and sickening, ie., Cops and whatever the program is that shows horrible accidents and crashing cars. Court TV was just my favorite and today, I barely watch the show. I am mature and intelligent, but your new Tru TV is trashy and disgusting.

How about a topic on the injustice of incarcerating minorities (especially blacks) at an alarming rate, just because stock is being bought in the building of prisons. They are making money off of incarcerating them , therefore; there are so many of them locked up. Statistics prove that whites and latinoes are lightly sentenced, with whites being barely sentenced over the latinoes, yet blacks are severely sentenced over both the whites and latinoes. How about some research and an article on that. Don't forget to research and include that should the latinoes backslide against the white authoriy, than they will in turn recieve a harsher sentence too. Forward this article soon, because I would love to hear the feedback.

Yes, this is in reference to the Amanda Lewis trial. I feel that to a certain extent, 6 or 7 year olds may be able to remember certain instances about different situations, but to put someone on trial based upon their testimony is preposterous. Their memory is limited to what they think happened and more on accounts that they were told happened. Just following the crime and watching the young boy testify, the defense attorney asked the question to him about distinguishing between the truth and a lie and he stated that he didn't know the difference. And also the question about his mother being in the court room. I feel that the entir e day was traumatic for A.J. and I also think that he saw circumstances around the event of the drowning. I don't feel the mother drowned the child.

In watching the trial the past few days of the murder and beheading I am wondering why the defendant is sitting at the angle he is and not sitting at the table as most defendants in court do..He has to constantly turn his head and it looks most unusual...

Iwould like to comment on the 13th jurior spot.On the trial,when the young man is accured of killing the young man,and cutting off his head.If he did this for fun, he needs to spend the rest of his life in prison.Be cause you do not kill someone for fun,We have a lot more problems to worry about than to waste time and tax payers money on something that should not have happened anyway.And yes his friends their are helping the prosecutors side.Becausehis friends are telling the turth about what went on that day.And people like this young man did a senseless killing.It was crazy and uncalled for.We donot need people commenting crimes.So, this young man needs to be punished for the full amount the law allows.Plus with no prole.

Hi. I watch In Session nearly every day, and I, too, am curious about the outcome concerning Elizabeth Halverson. My feeling is that she should never be allowed to sit on the bench again - not that I think she could ever be elected again! Her demeanor was disgraceful. I might have hesitated to believe the allegations against her had she not been such an arrogant, unpleasant person on the stand! I must admit, though, that she was fascinating to watch! She clearly has a higher opinion of herself than most of the rest of us share.
